How do I verify my Electrum wallet?

After adding your Electrum wallet address to the address book, you will be required to verify that address. This article shows you how you can verify your Electrum wallet on Coinhako, along with some frequently asked questions. 


Before you continue, please ensure that the Electrum wallet is installed on this desktop


1. Click on your name on the top right corner, then select ‘Address book


2. Click ‘Add new address’ and fill up the relevant information. 


3. You will be prompted to verify your address — select ‘Verify with signature’. 



4. Ensure that your Electrum wallet is installed on this desktop, then click ‘Yes, proceed on this device’.



5. On this page, click ‘Electrum wallet’.



6. Enter your master public key, then click on ‘Next step’. If you need help finding the master public key, click on ‘Where can I find this information on Electrum?’.



7. Sign the message with your Electrum wallet, then click ‘Submit to complete’. For more detailed instructions, click on ‘How to sign with Electrum’.



8. If your attempt to verify your Electrum wallet was successful, you will be redirected to a page like the one shown below. 




Why does it say ‘Your submitted signature is invalid’?

The wrong master public key you selected may not match the address you are trying to verify. You can change the master public key by clicking ‘Change’.
