How Do I Verify My Ledger Wallet?

After adding your Ledger wallet address to the address book, you will be required to verify that address. This article shows you how you can verify your Ledger wallet on Coinhako, along with some frequently asked questions. 


Before you continue, please ensure that you are verifying your Ledger wallet on your desktop — you will not be able to do this on your mobile device.


How do I verify my Ledger wallet?

1. Click on your name on the top right corner, then select ‘Address book


2. Click ‘Add new address’ and fill up the relevant information. 


3.  When prompted, select ‘Verify with signature’.



4. Select ‘Yes, proceed on this device’. 



5. Select ‘Ledger wallet’. 



6. Follow the instructions shown on this page:

  • Plug your Ledger wallet into your computer

  • Launch the BTC app on your Ledger wallet 

  • Once done, select ‘Yes, I plugged in my Ledger wallet’ 



7. A signature request will be sent to your Ledger wallet — sign the message on your Ledger wallet.



8. If your attempt to verify your ledger wallet was successful, you will be redirected to a page like the one shown below. 




My Ledger wallet could not be detected. What should I do?

You can try reconnecting your Ledger wallet and ensure it is connected properly. 


What browsers can I use to start the verification process?

There are 3 browsers are currently supported: 

  • Google Chrome (Version 61 or later)

  • Microsoft Edge (Version 79 or later)

  • Opera (Version 49 or later)
